Yeah this is instantly one of my favorite records to come out this year

It opens with a Final Fantasy sample so obviously this was always gonna rule

But yeah this is more or less the first full project of hers I’ve checked out and I’ve really enjoyed my couple listens so far

 

k those synths on the first song is that a Steven Universe sample? or do they just sound alike

this album still fucking rules btw. listening to it right now and I love how much this rewards close listening. one of my favorite things is how no matter how chilled out some of the other elements of the songs might get, she never let's the percussive elements dip and lose too much energy

I am tempted to post this in the Dedicated thread bc this is like that record's stoned younger sibling, at least in places, and I think plenty of fans of that record would like this.
