Idk I think this might be the best kings of Leon album in like over a decade. I really like/love every song
Ballerina Radio was on repeat for more then hour last night- what an incredible voice. Really digging this record.
yeah, I absolutely fucking love it. I've been playing it constantly since it came out, and it keeps getting better for me I've listened to WYSY a good amount, but honestly it's always felt a bit like a chore to get thru the whole thing
Yesterday, as I was breaking out my just received vinyl copy, my wife revealed to me that she hates the bass line to Rainbow Ball and it kinda rocked me.
I listen to this everyday at work and think about how incredible of a bass line it is. lol. Seriously reminds me of something from Aha Shake.
Same. Hot take time, I think this may be their strongest album front to back since because of the times
WYSY left such a bad taste in mouth I started to give up on them. Like, I had always viewed them as one of those legacy rock bands up until that. I remember when that album came out and texting my buddy, who is a massive fan, and asking him if this was a b-side collection or something? I legit thought it was just a bunch of throw away songs that didn’t make the cut for their other albums. Anyways, the new album has re-energized me about these guys. I find myself listening to this and being impressed like I was their first 5 or 6 albums. It gets better each listen. Because Of The Times Come Around Sundown Only By The Night Aha Shake Can We Please Have Fun Youth and Young Manhood Mechanical Bull Walls WYSY That’s about how I’d rank them. Those top two are always gonna be my top two. The bottom two are easily the bottom two. Everything in between is kinda interchangeable depending on my mood.
This album might be cracking top 3 for me from a pure “album” standpoint. There are better single songs in their overall catalog, but I truly love this album as a whole. Come Around Sundown is likely my favorite album of theirs.
Because of the times and only by the night are quite close but I do love come around sundown. The immortals is my favorite kings of Leon song besides probably Manhattan or closer
That album is deep with elite songs. Pyro, The Immortals, Back Down South, Pony Up, Pickup Truck all get a crazy amount of plays for me. From start to finish, it's such an easy enjoyable listen.
I think that’s why I gravitate to it so often when I’m going through a KOL phase. Start to finish it’s just “fun”.
Ouch! Hope he recovers well. Reminds me that I haven't seen them live in quite some time. That album last year was a top release from 2024 and still need to hear some of those songs. He mentioned wanting to play some newer tunes. I wonder if the spark from this last album pushed them forward for another or if it'll be a deluxe or something.
New EP is great and was such a pleasant surprise. They had been teasing new music over the past couple of weeks and people were thinking it was new music, but not so soon. Would love to see this on vinyl!
yeah, when I posted before I had just stumbled upon this and had only listened thru once, but I've played this a handful of times now and I absolutely love these songs great stuff
All The Little Sheep reminds me of something from the Presidents of the United States of America. Quirky little song.
Yeah I’m really digging this ep, they sound loose in a good way. Interesting to hear they produced it and released it on their own label, seems like Caleb is tired of the major label game
All The Little Sheep definitely has that "millions of peaches, peaches for me" cadence. It's a song that I feel like could've fit well on the show The OC during like a fun sequence. No idea why that popped in my head, but I feel like it really works, ha. The Wolf is definitely my favorite here.
