Exactly! Like literally if it’s just anywhere close to the trilogy then we’re good. Even if it’s the 4th but still good then I’m happy.

Didn’t LOVE War as much as the others, but it was still definitely great. The goofy monkey was a wild choice lol

 

Need to rewatch War soon. I'll have a sesh before this comes out for sure like I do with most franchises I love.

 

Need to rewatch the trilogy, been too long. Definitely thought some of the CGI in this trailer looked rough around the edges, but will absolutely see this

Annoys me even more that War has a different formatting of their slip so it looks dumb in the package

Well here’s hoping this movie is good because Wes Ball’s next project is Zelda

 

In situations like that, do they get access to see another film early to make a determination?

 

Studio execs are well aware of the state of other movies in production. I would guess Sony heard that Disney is happy with how Wes Ball handled the Apes movie. Doesn't necessarily mean that movie is great - just means that production of that movie didn't upset the execs. (Delivered on time, didn't go over budget, etc)

 

I'm more worried about Derek Connolly writing a Zelda movie than Wes Ball directing.

 

Derek Connolly writing is absolutely the biggest red flag. Makes me think that at some point his good ole pal Colin Trevorrow was attached to direct. YIKES
