When, if ever, does Birth By Sleep get good? I'm chugging along but wondering if I'd rather skip it and watch all the cut scenes like I did with CoM.
I'm almost done with my KH1 replay now Did anyone else notice a glitch on the PS4 release where in the first boss your screen goes entirely black with the exception of the HUD? Also I'm realizing I suck at KH
It only happened once but it was annoying. Donald opened the fight with Gravity and then my screen went black and the fight was going on but I couldn't see anything.
Isn't one of them like beat the game without ever changing equips? Not sure if that one's hidden so I spoilered it but yeah no way in hell will I ever get that one haha
I've played them more time than any human should so I think Im pretty good at them (brag) :^) But Yes, this is a known glitch on the PS4 version (doesn't happen on any other version). It happens frequently on bosses like Anti Sora and we think it's tied to Donald using Gravity at a certain point in the fights; we have no preventative measures unless you customize Donald so that he doesn't use high level magic as frequently. The only way to fix it is to reset your game which Im sure you figured out. Yeah, that's one of the trophies for 1.5. Not to bad if you do it on Beginner mode, but still kinda annoying for someone not used to that kinda stuff.
Kinda get what you mean. I liked Birth by Sleep well enough, but honestly it wasn't until near the end of Aqua's story that I got really invested. (But it was pretty cool once I did!)
Boring and empty level design. Uneven voice acting (hell ya Nimoy! wtf dude doing Terra??). Haven't been super interested in all of the mini games. The battle system is growing on me. I'm near the end of Terra's part and the little bit of connective tissue to the previous games/characters I've gotten recently are increasing my interest. Hope it gets better for me. So far it's firmly in fine territory.
The level design isn't great (remember that it was a handheld game but I do like some of the more out of the box choices for worlds) and the voice acting is mixed, yes, but I loooove the combat options and I think the story is super interesting. Aqua is one of my favorite characters of the franchise. (this is all going off nostalgia/having not played it in 10 years, about to get to it in the PS4 collection sometime very soon)
Yeah, now that I think about it Aqua is pretty much the real reason to play the game. Her arc is just like oooof!
Yeah, I'm sure some of my complaints would be lessened if I were playing it in its original, portable version. Looking forward to Aqua, then!
New trailer was shown at the orchestra concert tonight in LA. More info coming at D23 in July Nomura said. I'm not crying, you're crying.
Fixed the post with the official version with English subtitles. That game looks pretty polished. 2018 anyone?
