I’m obviously excited for this, but I almost wish it was a complete restart. I just don’t care about the previous story anymore. Are there any Square-Enix characters in this?
Was really hoping they would announce 1.5 and 2.5 for X1. Would love to revisit the first 2, and maybe complete one of many others that I started and just never completed.
All of the Trailers at E3 actually made me less interested in this game? I don't know what I was expecting. Also, the release date seems really far away??
Picked up the 1.5+2.5 remix or final mix or whatever bundle for PS4, mostly just to play BBS, which is the only title I haven't played other than Coded which I don't really care about but is also in the bundle anyway. I feel kinda dumb because I'm 100% sure there'll be a way to buy 3 that includes every other title so maybe a bit of a waste but this was only $20 so. Just needed a game that I could put a lot of hours into and this gives me several for only $20.
honestly at first I was convinced that they were going to announce a edition with every game that didn't include a PS4.
It’s coming out on that date. This is the first delay only, I don’t know why that’s so hard to understand.
Yea people who say January is so far away.....when did you think the game was realistically coming out? Any time sooner than November would have just been silly to think, and then January is at most 2 months off from possible November or December releases. Which for game development, is not a long time at all. January is ridiculously early with what it could have been lol
"During a group interview following Disney’s D23 event this past weekend, Kingdom Hearts IIIdirector Tetsuya Nomura explained why the game’s development was hit by several delays. Speaking through a translator, he revealed that the decision to switch to Unreal Engine 4 wasn’t his, and that Square Enix ran into issues with its resources." Maybe I wasn't specific enough because I wasn't just referring to the release date, but please don't talk to me like I'm ignorant or, even worse, stupid.
Yeah it obviously had lots of delays but this is the first concrete release date afaik? A studio giving a concrete release date should indicate that it's basically definitely coming out then barring catastrophic setbacks. It's not the same as giving just a "coming in <year>"
I'm not gonna lie I COULD see them ending up needing another month or two for clean up work but still, right around the time I was reasonably expecting as nice as November or December release would have been.
Playing through Dream Drop Distance for the first time and it’s the first KH game I really don’t like. The drop system is super inconvenient, the spirits have way too much tied to them in my opinion, and I have no idea what’s happening and I’m on the last world near the final bosses.
So far I'm on my first playthrough of the first game and I'm stuck on Ursula and Leon and Yuffie. The game has a terrible level scale and every area is comocomple directionless.
Oh I loved DDD but Riku is my favorite character so that helps. Also I really like the Flowmotion, and I love the different types of Spirit buddies. There's a penguin in a hot tub! Also Fantasia world is one of my favorites in the series. Three Musketeers world is also another highlight for me.
Finished DDD and while I like what’s setting up going forward, it wasn’t my favorite. I think it took too much explanation and was pretty convoluted just to get to the end where everything happens and is explained. I did like the focus on Riku and it made me hope that in KH3 we get the chance to not only play as Sora, but Riku, Kairi, Ventus, etc. Curious how Lea/Axel fits in moving forward because he would be an eighth light. Onward to BBS 0.2 Fragmentary Passage.
Kingdom Hearts III to have approximately 80+ hours of playable content, including 40-50 hours in main story gameplay - Kingdom Hearts News - KH13.com
I'm curious to see how a Kingdom Hearts game fits into a world of games filled with loot boxes and DLC. Crazy to think it's been that long and I wonder if Square Enix will just bypass all of that, or allow people to spend money on outfits, keyblades, etc etc.
i 100%’d Kingdom Hearts last week, and was committed to my mission to play through the whole series chronologically... but fuck, re: Chain is 110% filler in terms of gameplay. i have fond memories of the GBA version, but the game does not translate to the 3D space well at all and the reused assets feel bland as bland can be fresh off of a playthrough of the original. i’m just gonna watch cutscenes.
Would you guys recommend the original PS2 versions of KH or the remixed PS4 for a new started? (sorry, i'm ashamed)
