also like Useless Phrases is probably my favorite thing on the record but I wish it were like 10x longer

 

Opener was maybe the biggest standout for me

 

Okay this is starting to really grow on me

 

It’s a real good record tbh, no duds, some of the shorter tracks feel a little half-baked but all in all it’s an incredibly strong debut

 

I hate to say it, but I'm not fully on board with this album. I really don't think she is very good at downtempo songs. Lyrically, she's great, but musically a lot of them reaaaallly plod along, and they really bring down a record that has GREAT uptempo tracks like Aint Together, Useless Phrases, Cheap Queen, Hit The Back... The whole run of tracks from like, track 7 or 8 through 11 realllllly drags, just completely loses my interest. I still really dig her music, but I think the highs on this album are really high where the lows are disappointingly very low.

 

I love the downtempo stuff on here, ha.
