From wiki: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are an Australian rock band formed in 2010 in Melbourne, Australia. The band's current lineup consists of Stu Mackenzie, Ambrose Kenny-Smith, Cook Craig, Joey Walker, Lucas Harwood and Michael Cavanagh. They are known for exploring multiple genres, staging energetic live shows and building a prolific discography, having released 23 studio albums, 14 live albums, three compilations and three EPs. Anyway, they release albums so often and have such a large body of work already might as well have a band thread for them. Check out their new live album (released on Jan 24,2023). It rocks. @soggytime it might be worth adding https://get-into-gizz.com/ to the first post. It's a great resource for those curious about the band.
If anyone is looking for recordings of their EU shows, Altered Beast Broadcasting has been uploading the full sets and they’re of a passable quality. (Don’t expect the same level of the Bonnaroo recording or the nugs.net stuff.) https://youtube.com/@alteredbeastbroadcasting
Fuzz Club's Red Rocks box set is up for preorder, with fewer than 200 remaining. https://fuzzclub.com/products/king-gizzard-and-the-lizard-wizard-live-at-red-rocks
Not specifically Gizz, but I'm not sure where else to share this. Amby released a single for RSD with GUM (Jay Watson), as well as an accompanying video. The song rules.
Stu has been teasing the new album and it looks like we're getting ITRN 2. Hoping they drop a single, or album, prior to the summer US tour.
I grabbed Eye of Gila based on the descriptions. I may pick up another one if they have some at the Hollywood Bowl show/record fair.
