I’m so glad my wife stayed home. She would have been so pissed at me for convincing her to see this.

 

Definitely waiting for streaming. Was not a poor things fan.

 

sacred deer > favourite > dogtooth > lobster > poor things, which i still like quite a bit

haven’t seen this or the pre-dogtooth films yet though

 

I thought Poor Things kinda sucked but I dug this.

My wife also would have killed me if I dragged her to this tho

I don't think this is quite as good as Poor Things but it's still easily one of the best of the year.

Yeah he's not in it much but he does a solid job with the roles he has.

alwyn has been pretty good in his career, idk why it’d be weird or notable he’s in this, especially since he has worked with yorgos before

 

He seems like a decent actor. There’s zero reason to be weird about him

Caught this on Saturday morning. Enjoyed it for the most part.

 

Very surprised to see how many people loved this and hated Poor Things. I'm a big fan of all things Yorgos and was intrigued enough throughout, but I really don't know what I just watched.

 

I should add I've only seen this, Poor Things, and The Favorite. If his earlier films are more like this one idk if I'd enjoy them

 

I loved all of his previous films (think I've seen everything from Dogtooth on) but am still struggling with Kindness after a few days.
