Not blown away by either of these two singles so far, unfortunately. Everything just sounds safe. Maybe it’s a me problem.

 

Listened to the first few tracks from this on my commute home tonight. Digging it!

 

Pretty meh for me

Band peaked with As Daylight Dies

Jesse’s lyrics are great, and the man can still scream, but the band as a whole has been dry of new and interesting music ideas for several albums now

 

i dug this one for what it was

 

I still think Alive or Just Breathing is my favourite album from them but As Daylight Dies is a close second.

 

This has its moments, but there's just something about Jesse's clean vocals I can't get into.

Some of the songs rip though.

 

I feel like these boys lost it after Howard left

 

They had it before Howard came, though.

 

They weren’t great before Howard though. Howard brought them to a different level imo

 

Alive or Just Breathing is still their magnum opus - a “Mount Rushmore” of metalcore. As Daylight Dies was incredible for its fresh musical ideas

 

AOJB is easily their best album and like Ferrari said, a classic in the genre. Howard's run was mostly great too.

I havent loved a lot of what they did after Howard left but the newest record was surprisingly good imo and that new HSB cover is pretty dope.
