This is out there now. Is it supposed to be releasing tomorrow? I don’t think I ever saw anything about it even getting a release date

Watching this as Scorsese intended: On my laptop in 45-minute chunks while my kid sleeps.

Obviously I'd love to have seen it in ideal circumstances but you take what you can get with a 5.5-month old.

 

Yeah it's just hard to find a 3 and a half hour block these days.

 

Can't you run an HDMI cord into a big TV?

 

I've been watching The Lord of the Rings in hour-long chunks each night and it's fine. Would be different if I wasn't watching during the work week.

 

I'll watch at least part of it on the big TV tonight. In the mornings it's easier to just watch on my laptop in bed than run all the way upstairs when he's waking up.

 

It isn't the ideal way to watch but it isn't the end of the world. Most of us grew up watching VHS tapes on small CRT televisions with the sides cut off to make the image fit the whole screen.

 

I have fallen asleep in theaters watching Priscilla, Napoleon, Anatomy of a Fall, and May December, but I didn't miss a second in Killers of the Flower Moon.

I fall asleep driving anywhere over 15-20 minutes away. I fell asleep when someone was talking to me.

I work 60 hours a week between two jobs and am caring for a terminal cancer patient. I am lucky if I get 6 hours a night.

anyways im sorry about all that, that sounds terrible. having cared for a terminal cancer patient myself, here if you need anything.

 

I woke up in the middle of the busiest part of I-4. It was scary.

It happens a lot in the mid-afternoon when everyone gets a little groggy. With movies it is usually because I go to a midday showing, eat too much popcorn, and pass out. The two I didn't fall asleep for recently (Killers of the Flower Moon and The Holdovers) were both at night after work.

Finished this today and it was pretty incredible.
