someone tweeted that fraser’s character would’ve been right at home in a coen brothers movie and i can’t really argue against that
God damn this was incredible and devastating and that final scene brought me to tears (not the 1st time it happened during the movie though)
Shoutout to the 2 older women next to my wife that laughed when they were looking at Anna’s body in the creek. Fucking weirdos. I told them so too
And also shoutout to my friend Amy that worked on costumes for the background actors, so cool to see her name in the credits
I realize I’m posting way too much but I’m on a movie high from this I don’t have much of a Scorsese connection at all, I’ve maybe seen 5 or 6 of his movies including KOTFM but it really hit me watching his intro video that played before this, that he is a real titan of the industry and he’s eventually going to not make any more movies and that really really sucks
Unreal how good Isbell is in this, ostensibly the biggest part outside of the leads which was a pleasant surprise
I'd give the slight edge to The Irishman of recent Scorsese's but it's so nice he's still delivering top 5 movies in his filmography to this point. 5*
all I could think of was how he was treating Leo with disdain usually only reserved for Aldean, and it was well deserved
