In most cases Dolby is better, but if it was shot with IMAX cameras (such as a Nolan film) i'll do IMAX. Also, not every "IMAX" is a real IMAX. It's kinda annoying.
If that remains the only seat sold for that movie, they will be the most furiously hated person by a dozen staff members
I got out of a Fabelmans showing around one in the morning last December, the only staff still there were the cleaners lol.
I worked at a theater during Avengers Endgame, we would have showings at 3am that got out around 6 in the morning and they were packed. I think the theater only closed for like two hours before the 830am showings started There were also nights where I was ready to go home and some single asshole shows up for the last showing of the night, making me have to stay an extra three hours for no reason
I think my game plan will be to suspend liquid intake at noon, go to a 7PM screening, and sneak in a frozen Coke Zero that I will only start drinking 2hrs into the movie. I’m willing to do this for cinema.
I'm doing a 2:15 screening on Saturday, no food or drinks before and I'll be getting dinner immediately after
I'm going to just have to go to the bathroom during it, I've accepted it. I'll see it at least 2x the first few days it's out so it's fine
I tend to fall asleep during 2.5hrs+ movies even if I'm liking them. The Revenant, Wakanda Forever, Blade Runner 2099, The Way of Water... I managed to stay awake during Oppenheimer and will try my best for this movie. But doing it once is going to be challenging enough lol.
