IMAX tickets bought for Thursday and Friday (to cancel one and see what's more important: a convenient time or the clout of seeing it the first chance I have)
The anecdote about the studio wanting either Damon or DiCaprio to survive The Departed so they can make a sequel is wild. These people have no interest in engaging on what a movie is trying to do.
Tbf in Infernal Affairs Matt Damon's character lives and theres two sequels It's en vogue to blame everything bad in movies on them but these attitudes aren't exclusive to American studio execuitves
Of course there are problems elsewhere, but he is an American filmmaker and we mostly talk about American films here. Most of the foreign films that make it here are lower-budget arthouse films, but there is a lot of garbage being made in other countries as well. However, the ultra-high budget franchise films are really only made in America, with China starting to catch up.

IMAX secured for 7 pm on 10/19. This will be my first time in a movie theater post Covid (also post having my first kid last year haha) I expect my second and third times back to also be KOTFM
Since i'll be seeing this the night of 10/19, by the time I get home it'll be time to listen to the blink album at midnight. Gonna be a great weekend
