Last Temptation of Christ is a masterpiece and my girlfriend and I rewatched Silence last week, I’m stoked.

 

yeah nothing weird about that, it’s clearly something he’s been interested in his entire career

 

Silence is great. I really need to finally watch Last Temptation.

I bet/hope if he actually makes the Jesus movie he’ll cast MENA actors in the main roles too, no Willem Defoe this time…boy if you thought the early 90s outrage at fictional Jesus having sexy thoughts was bad, just wait until Christian fundamentalists get a whiff of Marty’s historically accurate brown Jesus lol

Counting down the days to October

 

I think the trailer looks great. Much better than the teaser they released a few months ago.

 

Trailer is solid, but that teaser was incredible.

Saw a dude wearing a shirt that said Directed by Martin Scorsese at work today and we had a little chat/talked about hyped we were for this

 

Has anybody read the book? Thinking of maybe doing the audiobook version before this comes out

 

Definitely read it. It's awesome.

I'm actually reading David Grann's latest book right now (The Wager) and am about 2/3 of the way through. Leo and Marty are also adapting that and holy shit...it's going to be so good.

 

I get why it is but this trailer is odd.


Anyway rather than reading (listening) to this I'm gonna listen to The Wager once I finish Blood Meridian
