I cannot recommend the book enough to those intrigued by the trailer. I love when historical non-fiction reads like a thriller novel.
David Grann is a legend. Just ordered his new book The Wager which Scorsese and Leo are also adopting.
Looks great. At 3 1/2 hours, though, I'm hoping for an honest to goodness intermission. Just finished reading The Wager last night. It's even more of a dad book than Killers was.
It's okay to get up and pee. You can see the parts you missed when you come back and see it again... or at home on Apple TV 3 months later
There's something cool about a director planning a break between acts or after a a significant development and building it into the movie. There's something old-timey Hollywood about it.
I'm religiously against pissing during the movie but sometimes a man has to crack. Oddly enough, the last movie I saw that had an intermission was Shutter Island when I was studying in Florence, Italy. Normalize intermissions. I didn't even realize it was out for some reason. My copy arrives tomorrow. The 4.3 on Goodreads has me excited.
Yeah, this looks incredible. Very, very excited to see this on the big screen as intended (and inevitably miss some really good moment when I have to piss).
