Man I really have not gone back to this album at all, I need to fix that because I remember really enjoying it

 

Song is not great tbh. His whole upcoming album leaked in low quality actually, won't listen to it until it's actually out but apparently it's still along the lines of the trappier stuff he's been stuck on

 

Haven’t liked anything he’s done since Kids See Ghosts, which we don’t talk about anymore haha. So really the last great thing he’s done for me was that phenomenal verse on Rocky’s A$AP Forever Remix. Happy for his success lately but it would be cool to get some decent music from him again.

 

New album out in a few weeks apparently, Insano

 

Would love to love another Cudi album but I'm not getting the best feeling about this one

X feature feels extremely desperate and honestly out of touch, even the kids have moved on from that guy by now

 

Cudi’s last great thing was his verse on A$AP Forever Remix. Everything since has been a bit disappointing, and that’s nearly six years. So I think it’s fair to say he’s fallen off.

 

Halfway through the new album right now, it's pretty much exactly what I expected. Pretty mindless background music for the most part, nothing has stood out yet. He doesn't feel inspired at all

 

New album is very disappointing. It sounds like him trying to chase the current popular mainstream sound without capturing what makes that music popular or retaining what made Cudi special to begin with. I'll give it more listens because I'm a huge fan but first impression is negative.

Also not thrilled about the XXXTENTACION feature.

 

There are a handful of songs I really like here but it’s just so bloated. Similar to my issues with the recent Drake albums - it’s just not inspired enough to justify the length.

MOTM trilogy still his best 3 albums and probably always will be

 

Blue sky is really the only standout for me from the latest album and that's solely because the production is really nice

 

Super tired of albums being overlong to game streaming service numbers.

 

I enjoyed the new album a lot more on relisten once I knew what to expect going in
