Well other than Morby I'm not sure what else you are into, I'll just give you a few of my other favorite albums from this year that don't seem to be talked about much around here. Morby is currently number one. Big Thief - Capacity (this one is actually pretty popular around here, but it's so good. You have to check it out if you haven't heard it yet.) Hurray For the Riff Raff - The Navigator Gang of Youths - Go Farther in Lightness Bedouine - S/T Aldous Harding - Party James Elkington - Wintress Woma Jake Xerxes Fussell - What in the Natural World Trevor Sensor - Andy Warhols Dream H. Hawkline - I Romantasize Maricka Hackman - I'm Not Your Man Michael Nau - Some Twist My current favorite band is easily Hiss Golden Messenger. They have a new album out in a couple of weeks and their album from last year was my AOTY. Really any of their albums are pretty great though. Hope you find something you like!
Kevin Morby's started his own label called Mare Records, and is releasing Shannon Lay's new album this Friday. It's beautiful stuff.
Kevin Morby’s favorite albums this year. Great choices. Kevin Morby tells us about his 10 favorite albums of 2017
It’s a great album, most likely my number 1 for the year. Also, love that Hand Habits album. I’m hoping to catch one of the shows on that tour also.
New album from Kevin Morby’s drummer under the name Night Shop coming out this Friday on Kevin’s record label Mare Records. My guess is if you like Kevin’s stuff you will like this too.
