I’d go Brother’s Blood and Put Your Ghost To Rest, but every album and project has songs that crowd the best of KD songs list.

 

All this KD talk has me wondering about a new album. Does anyone know if that is on the horizon? I know he’s been doing the subscription stuff but man it’s been a while since Instigator

 

I'm sure at the start of 2020 he was writing/recording, dont know how the whole pandemic thing has affected his schedule

 

Any chance of them re-issuing Between the Concrete and Clouds on vinyl?

bubblegum is probably his top to bottom favorite of mine. STCSTS and BB have a few of his best songs though

Ballgame is a given and I love seeing it at the top.

I was Alive Back Then is supposed to be a bookend to Ballgame so that cool to see it one there.

I have Brooklyn Boy in my head for more than I’d like to admit.

Cool to see Gießen on your list. It’s really pretty and cool song musically and vocally, but so sad and personal for KD.

 

it’s not ranked, just alphabetical.

 

Also if it never stops counts as a Kevin Devine song then I’d probably replace something.

Is $40 a good price for the She Stayed as Steam vinyl?

 

Any price is worth it for that on vinyl... god tier

How is Circle Gets the Square? I feel like I never hear anyone talk about it, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything from it show up on any set lists from of any of his shows I’ve been to (maybe “Protest Singer?”)

 

I like it. The vocals and recording are definitely rough in an Elliott Smith kind of way. It's quiet, just kind of missing the energy of his other albums, but it's a strong first collection of songs.

 

I guess having/coming out of Miracle of 86’ he had his ‘energy’ band there. And then as one thing end, the other grows in time.

 

Not bragging or anything but I am a little:

This is promising. His electrical wires also give me so much agita.

There was point when it felt like Kevin was done making full lengths. I am so glad LP 10 is is happening.

I have no idea where he’s at in the process because he’s posted a bunch of different photos online, but I hope this album features a variety of his strengths. Also, that song Albatross he has sounds soooo good. I’d love to hear both an acoustic rendition and a hard hitting full band version. He’s songs work in so many ways.
