Live at St. Pancras is incredible. As far as documents on a place and time go, i don't know that there's one I love more. Every phase of his career, even maybe the not so favorable ones, are treated with such respect. I'm always impressed with how he lifts up a lot of his early songs on that album. Protest Singer, Write Your Story Now...they sound great.
Listened to St. Pancras on a road trip last weekend. Kevin's performance is just perfect. The little stories he told before certain songs also really elevated the record for me. Loved his little story before No Time Flat
Listened to a bunch of his albums today. Make The Clocks Move always seems to stand out as my favourite.
Love the stories. They're simultaneously entertaining and good cautionary tales. The no time flat one is a fav, really enjoy the one before protest singer too
Saw this guy last night in the packed out basement of a bar in Birmingham. He's such a treat to watch. Highlight was finally getting to hear him play The Longer That I'm Out Here. His sincere appreciation of people is something that I continually find impressive and inspiritational. Like he took time in his set last night to compliment the two support acts, and not just vague polite words but real thoughtful, specific songwriter-to-songwriter notes. Having played support slots in the past I know how much of an afterthought the support acts can be to headliners, but he genuinely cares and its super touching.
I've met him 5 times and he actually remembered me the last two. One of the most down to earth musicians you'll ever meet. I try to get there early cause you can often catch him with a beer before the show starts. We usually talk about politics and baseball for 5 or 6 minutes and then he sings his entire set so perfectly you'd think the mic was auto tuned haha. Seeing Kevin is always the best. Only times I didn't meet him were when I saw him at huge venues (Bowery Ballroom in NYC, Rams Head Live in Baltimore)
Incredible live performer. When I saw him with Manchester orchestra he was just hanging out at the entrance to the venue thanking people for coming
Oh shit I suppose he's the artist mentioned in the procrastinate email as having new material coming later this year.
I like everything KD has ever put out. But I can't say I LOVE anything. I hope he puts out something amazing that can really put him at that next level for me.
That title is a line from No Why right? I wonder if it'll just been reinterpretations of existing/Instigator songs?
idc what it is thank you kdev for blessing me w new music amen also i just realized how often i underrate cotton crush but that song rocks i was listening to it today and wooooow........
It's weird that Amazon would have a preorder up or whatever it was when there wasn't anything in the PMT email to insinuate that KevDev is putting out a new album this year. Unless of course PMT isn't putting it out but I would assume they would be.
