Put Your Ghost to Rest Between the Concrete & Clouds Bubblegum Brother's Blood Split the Country, Split the Street Make the Clocks Move Instigator Bulldozer Circle Gets the Square
With Instigator out, I think this is my rank: Between the Concrete & Clouds > Bubblegum = Bulldozer > Brother's Blood > Instigator = Split the Country, Split the Street > Make the Clocks Move > Put Your Ghost to Rest > Circle Gets the Square.
Matter of Time is always my cheat answers because I love every album like my own non existent children
the show the other night was just incredible, what a powerful performance. Redbird had me freaking out
He did in Minneapolis. Basically most solo songs were played similarly to how he did in Live at St Pancras, and they were all wonderful.
i mean it isn't really acappela he still hits the chords with his left hand, but it was really powerful.
I love splitting hairs. He didn't hit any strings when he did it in Pittsburgh. Not that I saw/heard any way.
damn, pretty sure i didn't even get a brothers blood performance in slc. it was kind of blurry so dont quote me
hearing the new version of "Ballgame" was pretty special imo dag, yo. wish we could have met in pittsburgh
By the way, these Little Elephant Room Sessions are incredible. These lathe cuts sound awesome. I bought The Good Life Sessions and have been considering getting the Sessions from '68, TTNG, and O'Brother. I'll probably definitely pick these up by Kevin devine once they become available. You can find the rest here: Little Elephant
The way Kevin is super into all these up and coming bands makes me so optimistic about the next batch of devinyl splits. Just thinking of a dream line up to be on them: mitski, hop along, the Hotelier, David bazan (maybe this one covering each other?), Julien Baker, and the front bottoms to kind of throw it back to the last one indirectly (since Brian wasn't actually on it). What's yours?
No, not like officially. Every time he gets asked he says he'd like to do it again in the future between another album cycle and that he's got people he wants to ask, so it's happening
