Kevine Devine is perfect.

 

Brothers Blood is an incredible piece of work. The rest of his discog is pretty solid too

 

Put Your Ghost to Rest is one of my favorite albums of all time, but his whole discog is worth a try.

 

Kevin Devine is amazing and seriously an inspiration for me. I can't wait for LP9 later this year and hopefully more Bad Books soon!

 

I am a big fan of every album of his, though none have me saying it's far and away my favorite.

 

Anyone have rips of those songs posted above?

 

The guitar solos on the title track are unreal... Easily my favorite of his to see performed live!

 

Kevin is the man, seeing him & the Goddamn Band a few times next week!

 

With murder by death?

 

They have a daytrotter session coming very soon (Bad Books, that is)

 

he's actually doing a one-off solo/headlining show in the middle of the murder by death tour, in Richmond, I'll be there & at the murder by death tour yeah

Bad Books Daytrotter Session Oct 4, 2013

 

I know they're pressing a Daytrotter session, on vinyl, idk about disc, for the upcoming Andy Hull + Kevin Devine solo west coast tour. I was under the impression it was new Daytrotter session. And Kevin posted this a week ago, I believe Andy did as well:

 

Nevermind, went back and the original release did say "The LP features their 2013 Daytrotter session on 12″ vinyl with a screen-printed b-side."

I don't know why I thought they were doing another one

 

Yeah, I meant vinly when I said disc. It's still a round thang, right? yeah.

 

Seeing K. Dizzle this Thursday in Pittsburgh. May stick around for Murder by Death afterwards. Time will tell.

Edit: Talked to Kevin a bit at his merch table tonight. Mentioned something about LP#9 being released some time in October. Pumped. Such a solid guy. He put on a great show.

 

Kevin is starting a video series, playing "songs from my catalogue that had kinda slipped a bit through the cracks" and talking about the. The first is Bad Books "Petit Mort"

 

I love Kevin so much. I think Between the Concrete & Clouds is my favorite.

 

Yep, that and Bubblegum, imo...are the best shades of Kevin.

 

I was amazed when I found out it wasn't all that popular among fans. He even tweeted about it not being taken well recently.
