I was actually wildly surprised to see Bulldozer so low, not because it's my fav or anything but because usually with these things there's a recency bias. Clocks is too low but it's cool, there's no wrong answer with his discography (or any disco). His thoughts on Bulldozer were interesting in that he feels like it got away from him a little too. I think that's also why I don't go back to it as often, it's not what I was expecting and I still have a weird hang up about it. Shrug. Shout out to Between the Concrete and Clouds though, glad he likes it even if it's underappreciated. Also I thoroughly enjoy his distinction between pop punk and punk-pop, that's one that makes really good sense to me.
pretty straight forward pop rock song. i have a feeling ill enjoy it more in full context with the rest of the album.
this is like a nice lil blend of bubblegum and bulldozer, with some shades of all his other stuff here and there. very happy with it
Sometimes I remember I'm gonna finally get to see him live and I get giddy I hope I love this record as much as everything else but I am positive I will judging from singles alone
The time is nigh! I'll likely be chatting with Kevin sometime this week. What kind of questions do y'all have about the new album and his career?
Ask him, since he finished the record a while ago and delayed Instigators release for family/practical reasons, has he already started writing new songs? Also, are there any b-sides or acoustic versions to come out with Instigator? And would he be interested in doing another Devinyl split series? And how can I hear the song he did, "In The Shower, After". I remember it having interesting lyrics that he posted on line.
