yeah halfway through this and if it keeps up, this might be my favorite of his

 

ruining day drunk for me with this key change why do we allow key changes

 

okay the guitar tones on this are insane, the intro solo for both ways is perfection

 

So stupid happy with this. Day made.

 

like the little time change in the riff for guard your gates, total nirvana vibes on the chorus effect too

 

could see this going down as a top 3 one of his records for me

Best part of this is Daydrunk being the last song on its side.

I can skip it on vinyl if it doesn't grow on me.

I'm a huge Kevin Devine fan but nothing since Brother's Blood has really struck me until this one. I am totally into this one.

Freddie Grey Blues and I Was Alive Back Then are next-level shit but none of the rest are really doing it for me.

 

I like Bubblegum, it just didn't grab me at the time. This album and thread is making me want to go back and give it more attention.

 

this is great but im not thrilled about some of the production choices. i spent the better part of before you're here playing the game "find the snare drum"
