  1. The song he dropped on Youtube yesterday was good

Man, I love Kevin's first two albums as a solo artist but ever since Arizona Baby and on it always feels like there's something missing that keeps most of the songs from fully connecting with me. I think he needs to hit the breaks on trying to be "experimental" and just put out some good rap music

Big Dog is good though yeah

Even failing that, it’d be great if he’d just put the songs out normally because I’m def not going to work very hard to find the ones that aren’t on streaming haha

Happened to turn on the Lolla stream on Hulu just in time to catch Kevin’s set and uhhhhh that’s embarrassing

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

oh no what happened? can't possibly be more embarrassing than his Talking Heads cover right

I need more follow up here. I was kind of bummed I missed his set yesterday but maybe I didn’t miss much?

It was just bad. His backing tracks did all the work and he occasionally rapped/sang over his recorded vocals, but even when he did that, he didn’t seem to be trying very hard. Constantly told the crowd he couldn’t hear them, grinding a song to a halt at one point and then doing the whole “I can’t hear you, Chicago” like five times in a row. Had an awkward exchange with a concertgoer on the barricade, insisting the mic get passed to her, and from what I could understand, she said he was totally her type and she hoped she was also his type? And then he laughed at her, apologized to her, and thanked her for being a good sport. At some point he wanted the crowd to open a pit and it sure seemed like nobody wanted to, but he just did his “open it open it open it open it open it open it” thing and wouldn’t give up while the guy who does the weird scream on “Blanket” did said scream at the crowd way too many times.

OK so, this is all VERY confusing, as we all know, but....

Sounds like he might have already released the whole mixtape of GLUE via discord. Reddit has a download link for the whole thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/brockhampton/comments/1eroqpa/kevin_abstract_glue_full_mixtape/

...well, what seems like the whole thing. It seems like according to reddit, Kevin did say that the whole mixtape has been released now, but these 10 tracks don't contain Tennessee. I think Tennessee is part of the mixtape though, as he originally said it was the first song from the mixtape and also it's part of the Big Dog release on streaming that I just posted, as "Glue."

To the best of my guesses, I feel like an 11 song mixtape called GLUE is now out in full, technically

This whole thing has been weird. Am I interpreting this wrong or did he release the "mixtape" on streaming with only two songs there? Or is it more of a promo single? lol

the "mixtape" apparently lives across multiple mediums and most of the songs will never be released on streaming platforms, or so he says. So the two songs are streaming are just part of the mixtape as a whole.

Yup, basically what I was gonna say. Normally I love when an artist doesn't want to be put in a box and tries new things but Kevin is NOT in the position where he can be doing shit like this right now

Yeah he’s trying too hard to be different. If his first post-Brockhampton album was some pop rap (like the Lil Nas song) he’d probably be huge right now. And I liked Blanket!
