I'm sorry Kevin.... this album... is terrible.

I don't even know if I can get through the whole thing

 

"Scream" is the first track I'm kinda into

LOL, now that is an absolutely horrid album

 

Also me, and I DON'T think this is terrible -- I'm actually interested in revisiting it -- I just think maybe I've grown out of Kevin's ego and aesthetic choices. I do think the album is interesting.

 

I thought this was fine to listen to but I'm not really interested in revisiting it. In a less stacked year maybe, but I still feel like I'm digesting albums that came out months ago. It's been pretty nonstop for me and this just didn't stand out enough to devote a lot more time to it. Kinda sad because I looooved Arizona Baby (favorite album to come from anything Brockhampton related)

 

Haven't had time to finish the album but so far I think it's fine although the Speedin Bullet To Heaven comparison is concerning lmao

I think it's good! Some really catchy songs and interesting production, I don't think it's a failure at all.

I do think it's interesting that Kevin seems to avoid rapping so much on his solo releases, I wonder if that's deliberate. Arizona Baby is the only one I'd really call a rap album and he sings for a good amount of that (even his "deleted" debut album MTV1987, which is fantastic btw, has a lot of singing). I really respect him doing whatever the hell he wants when he could probably be a bigger star if he played it safe

I really hope he tours for this, I need to see his solo songs live

 

Mtv1987 is his best

 

After a few listens, I am sad to report I think this is bad. I only really like "Blanket" and "The Greys," unfortunately.

Saw them play it together at Coachella, total banger. Kevin also played 2 songs from The Family which I thought was cool

 

Seems to already be hinting at a new album called Glue, hope it comes to fruition

Also this is partially produced by Quadeca who is incredibly talented and makes really unique music if anyone hasn't checked him out yet

 

pretty nice song, the leaked one with Lil Nas from the Beverly Daze sessions is better tho

 

not to sound too harsh but his Talking Heads cover from that new comp is one of the worst things I've ever heard

I just dunno what this dude is doing anymore lol
