If anyone wants to read more about the Sony/Dr Luke split Dr. Luke Is No Longer the CEO of Sony's Kemosabe Records Amid Kesha War
Yeah, I suppose it's not clear if Sony specifically is out of the Dr Luke game or not. It's interesting, so this new album of Kesha's is out via RCA & Kemosabe Records (which Dr Luke is officially not CEO of anymore)... but Kemosabe has a dead website and no longer is listed on Sony's website with other sub-labels. My guess is that she was contracted to Kemosabe via Sony, so Sony's solution was to kick Dr Luke off that label, but keep Kesha on contract. Even though she is now essentially the only artist on the label. It's weird
This is the exact first word I thought after listening. Holy fuck, what a way to come back. Stunning.
This is quickly become my most anticipated album of 2017. I love everything she's put out before - but I am so happy she finally gets to make the album she's always wanted to.
I've never really listened to her albums in full or anything, but I've enjoyed her hits, and I've loved her as a person since the first time I watched her in an interview (I also realized what a good singer she was around then too). She has such a warmth to her, which has made it so much harder to watch her struggles. Praying is great, and knowing the weight behind the song makes it hit so much harder. Kesha's back and I'm here for it.
"Woman" is now listed with a track length of 3:16 on iTunes. Would assume it's the next song released.
There's already a video for it too, about 40 seconds of the video leaked not too long ago, it's funky/country/weird haha
