I mean Drake is a dork but I’m not going to listen to an entire album about him lmao. Either way I think Not Like Us is just a loosie
Yeah I would imagine "Not Like Us" is on the "Fuck Drake" album which will only be released if Drake comes at Kendrick again
A Kendrick record where he’s having fun would be cool. But, i feel like he’s been really disillusioned by post-TPAB life in the music industry.
There's no reason he would want or need to. He doesn't need the strength of that single to get the numbers to debut on the top spot. He can pretty much get #1 on his own or push the first album single enough to do so. Only way I could see it happening is if Drake decides to release something that week too.
Maybe a remix makes an album, but even that feels like a one-off (also, i in no way shape or form need a remix or anymore NLU content).
Yeah I don't think it will be at all. The ONLY way I could see it happening is if the album is some kind of west coast concept album but I don't see it otherwise
Been dealing with some really heavy personal shit recently so I decided to put this on today and it still holds up. Sometimes you need to hear some shit and sometimes it's reflected through the faults of someone you admire and respect.
Yeah the further i get from the album, the more i think it is a classic. I listened to it a few times during the beef and felt like it was better than I remembered.
I get it; sometimes people don't want to hear a guy unpack his trauma, issues and flaws for a straight hour fifteen, it's why it didn't pop off the way his last three did but it's been helping me out and giving me a lens through which to navigate through severe depression. It's clicked with me lyrically this year in the way no other album has.
Yeah I was thinking about this - what I meant to say is that he hasn't quite done this on the sort of insular level MMATBS did. It's a lot more inward-looking and sounding, no big singles, no pop collabs...
Incredible album. I actually didn’t go back to it that much in 2022 but revisited it the next year when he played Camp Flog Gnaw with Baby Keem and it was so much better than I remembered.
