I’ve gotten to the point where I watch more video essays than TV shows, probably because they’re more interesting than most modern TV.

 

I am a big fan of long form YT content

 

Hbomberguy is really good at the ultra long form essays

 

His plagiarism video was very good.

 

There are some fine long(er)-form essays on YT but 99% of the pop-culture criticism etc is horrible, especially the music stuff. I can really only tolerate the goofy ones like Pat Finnerty at this point.

 

Pat Finnerty is by far the worst music YouTuber and is married to a horrible far right reactionary evil person and one can only assume he agrees with her

Was thinking about it today and Not Like Us has gotta be on his new record right? Rumours swirling about him dropping this year and every album he's put out has had 'the single' - do I feel like it might work even better in context? Probably. Do Kendrick's loosies typically end up on his records? No they don't but look at those fucking numbers it's running up, man.

 

I think i would put money on it not being on the album because i feel like that’s not a Kendrick type of move, but i could be wrong.

 

Yeah I'd put money on it not being on the album. Kendrick's albums always follow a sort of narrative, and Not Like Us would probably be out of place.

 

Unless the whole album narrative is "Fuck Drake"
