I know all them by name of course but definitely not by face. I honestly don't know what so many musicals look like. Also I don't watch basketball and have never heard of demar
Also another thing with why he would make a music video/keep pushing the song "when Drake's already down" and whatever....outside of the Drake context and just in pure songs standards, this is easily Kendrick's biggest hit since Humble. Of course he's going to make a music video for one of his biggest hits in his career now, Drake or no.
Drake ran with "Back to Back" for months when he was up against Meek Mill and he BEGGED Kendrick to drop. Claiming he was trying to get out of this feud when he was "taking too long". Every single aspect of this Drake has put upon himself so he absolutely deserves to continue to be hit when he's down
I just don't know how Drake recovers from this whatsoever. I don't care that much, no one's crying tears for him.
His fans won't care, both the diehards and the casuals. Hip-hop heads will take a little bit more convincing to "win" back. He's gotta come out with the same fire he had on If You're Reading This...
it's so funny that Drake tried to namedrop YG as a real gangbanger and YG said do not fucking talk about me like that and then was in the video and the concert lmfao
I think the funniest cameo has to be Steve Lacy like I get it, it’s because he’s from Compton so he won’t take la slander but like it’s Steve Lacy lmao
streaming era has broken people’s brains, you’d never ask why a song needed a video after it already blew up in 2003
I actually kinda love that Kendrick and his team didn't go for the straight "have a Drake stand-in in the video getting dunked on", video is much smarter about it and the concept
Especially when you consider how many directors cut their teeth making music videos before going on to do bigger projects
