there’s an entire section of twitter firmly on drakes side in this and some tweets on that side are getting tens of thousands of likes. Kendrick is clearly winning in the court of public opinion but there is a large contingent of drake stans out there
One of my close friends is team Drake. But he’s also really into trash like Bryce Vine and Hoodie Allen lmao. I think it comes down to a fundamental difference in what you look for in art.
for sure, numbers wise he’ll be fine, I was thinking maybe more along the lines of potential post-Kendrick shifts in Drake’s persona/sound/who collaborates with him going forward etc. it’s easy to imagine he’ll stay on autopilot but at the same time I could see a shift/rebrand/attempt at a statement era. of course that’s assuming Kendrick’s raid talk was just rap and Drake isn’t going to court anytime soon
Just based on the timeline of his discography I’m assuming we get a new Kendrick album this year. So even if he’s done dropping diss tracks I’m sure they’ll be plenty more jabs coming on the album.
yeah they kinda disappeared didn’t they? I kind of went on a rabbit hole rn and a lot of electronic artists I liked in the 10’s are just gone lol like myrryrs hasn’t done anything since 2016 apparently. Kastle too. Shlohmo. Damn there were a ton of em
I was like oh let me find their social media and everything has been extinct since 2018 and goddamn what happened
that’ll happen sometimes where I’m like wow I haven’t thought about that artist in forever let me see what they’ve done that I missed and it’s nothing
Kendrick doesn't need to respond necessarily, Not Like Us is doing numbers that speak for themselves. Pack it up.
I would imagine at this point everyone who has investments tied to Drake is trying to make sure that this beef is over now and that its fine if articles are being written that Kendrick is the winner
Police investigating shooting outside of Drake’s Bridle Path mansion: source Could be unrelated, but the timing is wild.
