Yea this might actually be the biggest problem with this whole thing for Drake, Kendrick made a diss track that's also playable in a casual setting lmao it's Drake's worst nightmare
The A Minor and “other vaginal option” bars are eye rollers but kind of can’t get enough of Kendrick on a hyphy beat
I don’t know how much say Kendrick had in the potential Spotify boycott. I thought that was way more of a TDE higher-ups, people like Punch, decision to pull Kendrick’s music if they didn’t get rid of the ban.
I think it’s reasonable to assume Kendrick was aligned with the threat of removing Kendrick’s music in that situation
Whitney’s brother. I’m not on twitter to look through, but someone said he wouldn’t be co-signing Kendrick if he did what Drake said he did and he agreed with that sentiment or something. Still ultimately, no one’s comment on the situation other than Whitney’s would matter and she’s not obligated to comment. But I also 100% have a hard time taking Drake’s word alone on anything.
I mean not that I necessarily agree but I believe Kendrick’s angle has always been “you’re treating these black men differently than white artists with the same problems” even if he’s never explicitly said it knowing what I know about Kendrick and the way he presents himself on his albums that’s what I believe. I also just really don’t want to believe the worst about him
