sounds like Kendick is on multiple tracks of the new Playboi Carti album, if you can convince yourself to wade through it

  6. Definitely disappointing to see him on the Carti album but yeah, not exactly surprising. Disappointing to see Carti have a fan base at all given his allegations and who he pals around with but then again, most of them are current-day Ye fans, so it tracks.

  7. Kanye is in the middle of his edgelord news cycle bullshit and would love for Kendrick to call him out, but he will most likely stay quiet on it (as he should). Don't feed the troll.

I listened to the songs so you don't have to, and they are truly terrible, just pure trash. No need to listen

Wait how does an artist not know who’s on their album? Lmao

To me, that just shows how little of an artist vs a content creator he is. The album is clearly not an artistic statement if it's 30 tracks and the artist himself doesn't even know what's on the album

He shows up late to his sets and performs 30% of his lyrics over the actual song. There’s rumors his verse on The Weeknd’s Timeless is AI. He truly doesn’t give a shit lol

I've been waiting for this, probably one of the most pivotal albums for my reintroduction to really seeking out new hip hop and rap. Should probably own a vinyl version for it by now.

I do kinda wish this new release had the original art. The alternate is cool but the original is such a classic for me now.

Not mine but definitely his most ambitious. I wish more rappers would try to do what he does on that one.

I feel like an underrated swing at this type of record was KOD by J Cole. I think the issue being is that the album came off as very judge-y of the lifestyle of rap, whereas one of Kendrick’s strongest points is his ability to make commentary while it not feeling like it’s coming from a high horse place. It’s very Nas like in that way.

I’d also have to listen to j cole to hear that record
