I'm pretty curious to see how Drake's new album does on the charts. It's his first album since the beef and I am super curious if fans are still going to show up and listen or if he's actually too cooked. I would say that it doesn't fully apply because it's a collab album, but his last collab album went to #1 just a couple years ago, so this will still be a good comparison
It being his first album since the beef will be exactly why it goes #1 lol, not that it wouldn't anyway because it's Drake
Doesn't Drake have a big crossover fanbase? Meaning I assume a good chunk of his doesn't care about that beef beyond bopping to the diss tracks
Absolutely, and again my question isn't if zero people will listen to it, it's me being curious if there will be a notable dropoff or not at all
Probably the most stressful sale I've experienced in a while but against all odds, I squabbled up for a ticket win.
#1 on Apple Music rn Broadly I don’t think people are as picky a sidesy as the internet would lead you to believe, Drake is still gonna do numbers
even if they are pick a side-y, the beef would make people listen to this just out of the “what’s he going to say” factor
Super bowl launched him into the Top 10 albums list three times, making him the first rapper to ever have 3 albums in the top 10 at the same time Kendrick Lamar - GNX (236k) (+3) SZA - SOS (109k) (+1) The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow (101k) (-2) Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS (78k) (-2) Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (59k) (+1) Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft (51k) (-1) Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet (51k) (=) Morgan Wallen - One Thing at a Time (41k) (=) Kendrick Lamar - DAMN (39k) (+20) Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d (37k) (+17)
The Billie album is great, glad to still see that hanging on (and even surpassing Sabrina). Surprised Taylor isn't there.
