It’d be funny if Kendrick does a different version of an older song for the halftime show and then releases a studio version on the same day
Also what do we think the setlist will be this time around? He did maad City and Alright last time around. I think we’ll see Squabble Up Tv Off Humble Money Trees Luther All the Stars Alright Like That Not Like Us
The Ringer had a fun read in December ranking the 30 best years rappers have ever had because of how big Kendrick's 2024 was. Obviously like all lists it’s up for debate.
A couple of these are probably a medley DNA HUMBLE mAAd city Alright Squabble Up Luther ft SZA All The Stars ft SZA TV Off NLU Probably slides Money Trees/N95 Into the medley. King Kunta would be rad. Idk I feel like there's gonna be more GNX. But he only has about 15 min
My list wasn’t an all inclusive thing. Just kickstarting the discussion with what I thought he would do with solo cuts and his announced guest. I wonder if we will get any other guests I could see him bringing out Jay Rock which could lead to the rest of Black Hippy or Future and Metro. I did see or hear that him and Lil Wayne spoke since the album dropped so I guess that could be a possibility.
DNA Squabble Up Rich Spirit (Chorus Only) --- Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe (Chorus Only) Money Trees m.A.A.d city (Chorus Only) Humble family ties w/ Baby Keem --- Luther w/ SZA All The Stars w/ SZA [TV Off Mustard Tag] NLU
I'm gonna go out on a (small) limb and guess are getting a new song too. He has a history of debuting new magic on award shows and late night shows, so why not bring a surprise here too
Yes but a lot of songs will probably be shortened a lot... I'm not really a fan of how a lot of halftime shows do primarily short medleys nowadays, but it does make sense when artists have so many hits and they want to try to touch on as many as possible.
