saw him right after (or before?) gkmc came out and on the TDE tour after DAMN came out. both times he blew the place away
I so wish i could go back to those early shows where he was playing non-arenas, where you see videos from them and ‘m.A.A.d city’ looked like the most insane thing I’ve ever seen performed live.
I saw him at Coachella 2017, the 2018 Championship tour and Camp Flog Gnaw 2023 as part of The Hillbillies (but he played lots of solo songs)
It was an insane time, he used to bring fans onstage to do "Look Out For Detox" and there was so much energy in those rooms
Only have seen him once on the Yeezus tour and was extremely let down, good to hear hes been better in arenas lately. Definitely wanna try to get to the Detroit show
Most real thing said in this entire thread. The venue/show-going experience there is absolutely awful
I saw him in 2012 before GKMC at pitchfork fest and he was awesome. I saw him a few years later headline pitchfork fest and it was not. It was around his imagine dragons collab and his inclusion of a backing band unfortunately sounded a lot like that
Only saw him on the yeezus tour and the backing band drowned out all his vocals. Couldn’t hear him at all.
Saw him twice in 2013. Got booked pre-GKMC so it actually ended up being at the San Diego County Fair. Big stage but just a weird setting. Overpaid for a floor ticket but loved every minute. Second time that year was him opening up on the Yeezus tour. Was in the rafters at Staples Center but still had a good time.
I was supposed to see him headline BST Festival at Hyde Park in 2020 but then the pandemic happened and the show was obviously cancelled after that
that's wild to me, his Coachella set was honestly legendary, he was SO fucking good. Plus the TPAB tour show was equally as cool and unique
Song structure a little different, I've read they were supposed to be used for the same song but Kendrick split them up!
