GKMC being celebrated (by some anyway) as his best album is what’s baffling to me tbh it’s a good album but it’s not even close to being his best work
I want it to be known that when @MidDave was having his most recent child the nurse came in to give his wife pain meds and Dave said "Can you give us 5 minutes please" because he was in my fantasy football chat doing a minigame for extra points He is a true poster
It's also when a lot of people discovered him, so I can see a lot of nostalgia being attached to it and it being someone's favorite even if he's made even better work since then. Kind of like how I recognize TPAB as being his best pretty easily, but it's probably number three for me if I'm ranking what I actually enjoy or return to the most Not if I do it first. He's already big on "Peekaboo" smdh this is so true
I don't think it's my favorite or his best, but I have a really, really warm place for it in my heart. I remember buying that CD because folks on AP. net were talking about it and having never really heard hip-hop like that before at that point in my life.
As much as I like his hype songs, chill stuff like Institutionalized and YAH come to mind as my most played

I don't think i've ever listened to an album where every section of every song is perfect, I think every album that i've listened to that is deemed a classic has its imperfections.
Kendrick is just one of the rare artists where I remember exactly what I was doing and where I was for when his albums dropped. Deeply special. Top 5 dead or alive at this point he’s earned it
