I just bought TPAB on vinyl and its holding up, but these two are both on a really high level

 

TPAB is a journey that you don't always want to take, but DAMN. is a windows down album.

 

This is a really succinct description of my feelings towards both records. Both masterpieces that I love (probably equally at this point).

 

I attended the DAMN tour a week ago and I will be attending the 4 Your Eyez Only tour in a few weeks

 

Dude's vids need to win the big awards, not just his songs and albums

 

Kendrick's visuals are always

 

Worst song on the album butttt awesome video

 

Yeah, he needs to push LOVE as a single

 

LOVE is the next video apparently

Also Kendrick pretty consistently has the best videos in the game

 

okay, i'm fighting everyone calling Loyalty the worst on the record, fists up lets do this

 

Loyalty is my most played song on this record by about 20% so it might be my favorite?

 

Loyalty is an excellent track

 

Count me in the Loyalty fan club

 

Loyalty is my favorite after Fear. Love me some Rihanna, especially when she raps

 

Lust is the "worst" song on the album imo but I still really like it

 

We're real close to ranking the songs on the album which will be dumb cause its a good album and they're good songs so we should just shift here and talk about how good Rihanna is on that track and in that video

Speaking of I don't think anyone ever made a Rihanna thread since Anti came out before Chorus was officially up and running

So interesting to read him saying that his music is like a history lesson for white people. It totally felt like that for me listening to To Pimp a Butterfly for the first time. I'm not white but coming from an immigrant family I witnessed present day racism but I didn't understand the full scope of the history. I imagine white people feel something similar listening to Kendrick.

 

TPAB was that for me.
