Really? As far as I'm aware, tickets for standing are always different to seating. J Cole has a price difference of about £12. Are they max. £50...? I paid £90ish for Metallica.
Even if the typical GA is sectioned into a seat-like structure, it's usually only broken up that way to show separate entrances for each GA area. It usually doesn't mean it's actual seats down there. Unless of course you're saying it doesn't show anything at all in that GA area in which case I'm perplexed
Just checked for AAC and they're not selling GA yet so I think that's what's going on, they're just releasing AmEx and Platinum seats
The second flow on XXX actually reminds me of the kinda nonchalant style of rapping that Earl occasionally pulls out. It's cool to hear Kendrick rap like that rather than always being at 110%
The voice changing "I'm high now" shit in Fear is super irritating. Takes me out of the song every time I listen to it. The verses are good though
Ditto the "God Damn" part at the end. I "get" it or whatever, but it's irritating to listen to. EDIT: And the vocals at the very beginning of Duckworth. Kendrick always throws weird shit in his songs that doesn't flow well. The second sample after the drop is cool but there's always some extra stuff that gets thrown in.
Interesting to hear peoples' thoughts on different artistic decisions he took throughout the album. I love that part, reminds me of the chopped and screwy parts of some old Outkast and Goodie Mob songs
haha ugh i hate that part but admittedly it's because it sounds a lot like mark hoppus and it makes me laugh, taking me out of it
Was this at the Trees show during his Section 80 run? I'm soooo pissed I missed that show. I was barely getting into him at the time and decided not to go. Have seen him every time he's been through since though.
It was! It was such a good show. I almost missed it too, bought a ticket the month before and when the day of the show came, I completely forgot it was that day and had to sprint out of my apartment into my car and rush to make it hahaha. I went to that show, to the Halloween show (sad I missed Justice at the Palladium that day though), and to the Yeezus opener.
Yeah, that's one show I'm still kicking myself for missing. Every year or two he comes back and the venue is twice the size of the previous one. Trees --> South Side (small room) --> South Side (big room) --> Verizon --> AAC.
Was Verizon the To Pimp A Butterfly one? I missed Palladium (I'm still calling it Palladium cuz fuck it) and Verizon.
Palladium (small side) was on Halloween like a week after GKMC dropped. Then he came back and played at Verizon for GKMC with all of TDE. Then the big side of the Palladium for Kunta Grooves which was supposed to be an "intimate venue" at that point in his career (since he'd already been playing big theaters like Verizon) and that was for TPAB. Then opening for Yeezus at AAC. I think that's all of them.
The Halloween one I definitely went to. I pretty much still call that venue South Side and the big room the Palladium. It just feels so much more natural haha.
The most I've paid was £50 for Biffy Clyro. Haven't done any poppy arena shows but any more than that and you tend to be pushing stadiums. Totally could be wrong though! Either way it's way less than in the states.
