in terms of being my favorite hip hop artist. my bad, should've clarified.

 

So incredibly interested to see what this is – my favorite band and favorite rap artist... never would have guessed this! My first reaction is to be skeptical, but if anybody could pull this off it's Kendrick.

Just noticed that everything updated on iTunes/Apple Music, album now lists the proper title/cover art/tracklist, with track times. 55 minutes long.

 

Many more tracks 4:00 and under this time around, other than FEAR. Definitely expecting more concise, maybe straightforward in a sense, tracks than on TPAB or GKMC

 

yeah most likely not going to have a narrative/skits built into the songs this time around. really just can't wait to hear what he has in store for us.

Though it's not unheard of, having them featured makes me think it'll be more than just a sample

 

The fact that it's "featuring U2" and not "featuring Bono and The Edge" makes me think it's more likely a robust sample, but obviously anything's possible.

 

If it's a sample I hope it's from Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark

Probably, yeah. I really have no idea what to expect, which I guess is the most exciting part.

 

I went from strongly disliking the album cover this morning to already liking it a lot now. I can imagine once I have the context of the album I'll like it even more, and hopefully the title will grow on me too. At first I was kind of disappointed in the lack of rap features but then I realized TPAB only had Rapsody (Snoop is just on a little hook). Kendrick really doesn't need any of those

So fucking hyped.
