I really like this album. The throwback elements of it are really well done. Also, on some tracks her vocals remind me of Brandy, which is always great.

 

Gangsta is a good song until you realize it was written for Suicide Squad and it's probably about wanting to fuck The Joker.

After listening to it a couple of times I have to say I'm in love with this album. It's probably my favorite R&B album in years. It's so beautifull, especially when considering what she went through.

 

This is definitely growing on me. Really strong album.

 

i listen to this a lot. i wanted to see her when she comes here in May but it sold out quite quickly. good on her though.

 

well she sounds excellent, that's about all I can say!

I still listen to this album constantly. It's so fucking good. It sounds corny but the way she turned darkness into something so beautiful and full of life is amazing to me. It's probably already one of my favorite albums of all time.

Also I just saw this interview and it's worth a watch.

 

I saw her live Saturday; absolutely incredible. She seemed to be having so much fun, really loving the energy and feedback from the crowd; like you mention, it's really cool to see how she went from that dark place, to have then produced that amazing album and now have a tour with sold out dates at almost every stop. Really excited to see where she goes in the future

 

just started spinning this a few days ago, i'm weird i definitely prefer the second half of it. going to try and catch the show in greensboro or raleigh coming up.

i was so mad that her show was sold out here in May. i wanted to go so bad but i slept on it too long and i really didnt really think she had such a big fanbase and i missed out.

 

Listened to this for the first time in a few months. Forgot how strong it is, it's probably the best r&b album of the year so far.

Y'know, I think you may be right! I have no idea why I haven't listened to it over the last few months. It's gonna be in regular rotation from now on tho!

 

It really is my favorite album of the year. I have been listening to it in the car constantly ever since it came out. My girlfriend loves it too so that helps. It's so good and so beautiful when you think of Kehlani's last few years.

 

just grabbed this on vinyl from Urban Outfitters (ugh) but the pressing is beautiful

it's like $30 which kinda blows but UO inflates all their exclusives

it's gorgeous like white-ish pink vinyl and a great gatefold, the cover art looks amazing in that format too

 

I bought the CD and the cover art is blury, it's weird. I'm 99.9% it's not a bootleg.
