Y'all crazy I'm so addicted this song.

I was revisiting the (like 4) KP songs I actually liked and in retrospect I Kissed a Girl has sooo many random bizarre production flourishes and choices that are hard not to laugh at.

 

It feels dated. Idk why, but it's basically what I think everytime I listen to it or to some mainstream pop of the same era.

 

I blame Dr Luke just in general

 

It's the guitar. If they just replaced it with synth...

 

Ha I can't unhear that now.

 

Love the song so much and appreciate the message behind it.

I love Katy, but this song is pretty weak. Not saying all of her songs have to have big choruses, but the buildup in this one just to realize the boring beginning of the song was actually the chorus was very disappointing.

Yeah, this song is borderline awful. It seems like she's lost, especially without Dr. Luke's production. But good for her for not going back to him even though she's in a creative rut.

0/2 ? what ? previous single is one of her best songs and a breath of fresh air in the mainstream pop scene. this one's okay but doesn't go anywhere like that trap influenced song from the previous album. yeah I never remember the song names lol
