Saw her live at a cool venue in SF a couple weekends ago. My third time seeing her overall and second at that venue (when she opened for Milk Carton Kids) and she was predictably great. I gained more of an appreciation for the Mantras songs hearing them live, even though Expectations still tops it for me. A couple surprises were that she covered "All Apologies" and during her encore, she came out into the crowd with just her acoustic guitar and background vocalist and performed "Standstill" while we were all gathered around her in a circle, completely silent. Truly magical moment. Edit: The opener, Jack Van Cleaf, impressed me as well. Check out "Rattlesnake"!
I saw her last night at a small venue in LA and although Ruston wasn’t there, her performance of “Standstill” with her tour manager on harmonies was incredible!
Listened to this today. Still hasn’t clicked with me the way Expectations did, but that album was immense. I’m excited that I got tickets to see her in Manchester, UK in May - looking forward to seeing the songs in a live setting.
Wow wow wow. I saw Katie Pruitt last night in Manchester, UK. An acoustic set, just her, and it was absolutely stunning. Her voice is incredible - I knew it was from the albums, but in an intimate live setting it is truly another level. She played three new songs which sounded great too.
