Follow up to last year’s solipsisters, out on Run for Cover
Yaaasssssss! I took mushrooms and listened to Solipsisters about a month ago, and maaannnnnnn.
Excited for this!
good single, i can't wait for this
I just noticed that “data” is the closing track on here. I’m sure it’s not the same version (maybe it’s not even the same song??) but she released a song of the same name on SoundCloud back in 2018.
Album Of The Week: Katie Dey's 'mydata'
I’ll check her out
This is unreal. I think she strikes an incredible balance between the distorted textures of the other records and the newfound clarity. “Hurting” stands out immediately.
Lyrics are on her bandcamp if anyone is looking
Will check this out once I finish with Taylor
Excited to give this a listen once I listen to folklore one more time lol
This is great
About halfway through and I'm really enjoying this. Never really heard of her before this album promo started, but I'm glad I know now.
Not entirely sure what to make of this, and some of the vocals are kind of grating, but it also doesn’t really sound like anything else I’ve heard this year. There’s enough cool stuff happening to make me want to come back to it.
Anyone know what this could be? Remixes?? Seems too varied to be contributors to the record but that would be sick too. Could be nothing though lmao
darkness vid is pretty magical
7.5 on Pitchfork
Katie Dey: katie dey: mydata
Deserves a 17.5 imo
Listened to the new one on a small trip Friday night and maaaannnnnnnn
looks like I gotta check solipsisters out too
I think this one is even better than her last one
I'm inclined to agree. It's basically all I've wanted to listen to the past few days.
