Nah. That article that’s been posted here a couple times sums it up pretty well. Blame Kanye for Kanye.
I wonder if Adidas might look at dropping him? I know Wex and a lot of the higher ups do not rock with the trump shit at all
I'm just here reading the lyrics to "Heard 'Em Say" like 'yup mhmm good point Kanye, a higher minimum wage IS important, black men ARE disproportionately policed, darker skinned black people do have harder times getting jobs, the theory that the government had a hand in the spreading of AIDS is reputable, consumerism does target poor (especially poor black) people, lotteries do feel like false hope for the working class' Like, no way he'd ever become the guy who supports people who think the opposite.
Adidas won't drop him unfortunately - makes the company too much money and makes the company look "cool"
Sadly, I think Adidas would be fucked if they dropped him, depending on his contract with them. He's a huge money maker for them.
That’s kind of what sucks the most about the whole thing for me. I was a teenager when I started listening to Kanye and he was one of the first people I was listening to at the time that explicitly talked about the roots of what I saw in my neighborhood. No shade to MCR, but the pop punk/alt rock stuff I was mainly listening to never addressed it. I don’t understand how he got from there to here and it’s just so shitty.
the richer you get the more you worry about you and only you. the I got mine mentality America actively promotes and rewards
First of all if you think its not a jewish tradition to joke about all the awful bad things that have happened to us....well. idk. maybe we're around different jews. second, the gestapo comparison is not really wrong, or a joke, considering Trump has a police force rounding people up based on ethnicity
welp that's it for me and kanye going forward, won't care about or support anything new he does. too bad, would have loved to finally see him live someday. oh well!
