I imagine this show came about because Kanye saw Everybody Hates Chris and thought he could do it better.
Are y’all really judging what they named their child? Is this fucking serious? Hate the guy all you want, but jfc
I have a lot of issues with Kanye using his platform to legitimize white supremacy and supporting abusers and creating a weird cult around himself and a ton of other shit, but I really want to just leave his kids out of it. I hope his personal issues and the general toxic nature of being a celebrity have no ill effects on those children and I will never care about their names or whatever the fuck.
Calling reoccurring performances with religious overtones cult-like also maybe goes a little far. Cults are too serious a thing to throw that word around imo.
You don't have to care about the kids or their names to simply think that they're bad names. What a dumb thing to get defensive about lol
I live super close to this museum. Wish I had known about it yesterday so I could have attempted to go/meet Kanye and Virgil, but I am going to the exhibit tomorrow. It's an exhibit by/for Virgil Abloh that opened today (Sunday was the soft opening which looks like it was invite only) and it looks super cool.
Update: The exhibit was really cool and it really shows what a creative visionary Virgil is. Also, there was a blown up version of this on display, which was super cool.
I saw this tour for free because of this site. Literally got 5 of us in to the show for free. Can’t remember what it was, some kind of giveaway?
