This. I'm not saying people shouldn't be upset about what's currently going on, but having shitty political views is not nearly as bad as proclaiming the innocence of someone accused of raping 50 women.

my mom passed away about a year and a half ago now. i’d hate to have to feel like every stupid thing i’ve said in the interim is a reflection on her. idk. that just rubs me the wrong way to think that kanye being whole ass dumb is tied to his mother at all.

Yeah I think Drew was just saying she was a woman who obviously passed on her morals and ideals to him as best she could and she wouldn't condone this obviously. I lost my dad a few years ago and all I do is try to honor what he taught me. However if someone threw that in my face I would of course take it really bad no matter the situation.
