A few years ago I would have been so hyped to have so many Kanye projects in one year, it's crazy how little I care about him right now.

 

Like this whole building bridges and everyone should just love non sense doesn’t work Kanye. Just because you are wearing the Kaepernick sweatshirt doesn’t mean people are gonna be okay with the maga hat or be more open to it cus you play both sides.

The good thing is we know he respects women now because he has a daughter. But also xxx is fine because they were buddies.

 

He knows what he’s doing, presenting a MAGA hat and Kap sweater together, because he wants to challenge people’s pre-conceived notions of ideals and symbols, and show nuance and shades of gray and not being “boxed in” by any one conception. But what he’s doing is presenting the ideals of Trump and Kap as equally valid, equally deserving of recognitions and thought, and they very much are not. Kanye is an idiot.

Also given his tweet about XXX and Bari, he’s extending those ideas about preconceived notions to abusers. Essentially re-stating “BILL COSBY INNOCENT”. Kanye is a piece of shit.

Just heard a clip on Twitter that sounds not great (quality of the song). Something about giving up his slave name? I think? Bad at deciphering lyrics.

 

Yeah he’s saying giving up his slave name, sounds whatever but it’s 10 seconds of a song and could easily not be on the album once released.

 

Historically, rappers that give up their slave name are better rappers so there is that

Fucking disgraceful. At a certain point, I have to just avoid news about him because it almost sends me into a panic attack that someone who was once a hero to me made the decision to be this person. With the size of his platform and all of the information and influencers around him, this is who he chose to be. If he truly wants the people who once looked up to him to hate him, he can have it that way. Wish he would just go away.

 

So bizarre that this is where he’s at now and this is the same guy I’ve been a fan of for so long now.

 

It's just really disappointing. It also sucks as an outsider looking in, to understand what HE thinks he is doing, but knowing that his own stupidity means he doesn't understand any of what he thinks he is doing and why it's damaging.

 

Even more so that he may just not even care and would prefer to just make people mad for the sake of doing it and to sell albums which honestly wouldn’t shock me if this album flopped heavily
