Being less than a week away from Yhandi, what are some things people want out of the album? ie features, sound, etc
I want Kanye to produce a Charlie Wilson album so bad. I in general want Kanye to embrace the fact that being an R&B producer is what he is really, truly meant to do from now on.
It’s probably got at least the pedophile guy on it so fewer than 2 known abusive people would be nice Fully expecting a mess of a release to go with a mess of an album, and a lot of bullshit messages. My trust is really shot.
Lots of people in Chicago currently it looks like. Gonna be interesting what comes out of this album.
It would be very good if he got 69 on one of his “gee golly I sure am worried about my daughter!!” numbers
Remember when Kanye was a perfectionist? He would work on his tracks and grind and grind and grind. This resulted in albums like My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I would like Kanye to go back to being a perfectionist at the peak of his game, but I know that won't happen. So for a more simple answer, I would like some soul beats.
I may be wrong, but I think that obsession with every tiny detail was very unhealthy for him. I get the sense that he sets the release dates so he’s creating limitations that don’t allow him to spiral the way he has. Some people may think the music is suffering for it, but if it’s better for his well being, who cares.
Well yeah, but that was what, 10-15 years ago? I'd argue he's definitely in a better place now than during the TLOP sessions, which seemed like a breaking point. He probably had to readjust his working methods following that.
I’m an outlier but I find the chaos of Yeezus/TLOP/ye to be thrilling. We’ve discussed this, I understand why it turns people off. But those are the 3 records I find myself reaching for the most.
I still really like TLOP but yea Yeezus is on another level. And sure I might be beating a dead horse but ye shouldn't even be in the same breath as TLOP even let alone Yeezus
