2 years ago I would have been like HOLY SHIT KANYE DOING SOMETHING ON MY BIRTHDAY and now I am like oh cool. I want to imagine it probably is the Chance/Kanye record.
It went gold, sold 200K first week with 7 tracks only in a streaming heavy era, zero promo, etc. would not call that a flop.
Everyone knows Kanye will sell. Kanye knows Kanye will sell. But this was his first major critical flop and that the consensus was that he might have run out of ideas. That is why seems to effect him. And that he has not had a major radio hit in awhile.

People thought TLOP was a critical flop when it dropped......and then ended up on nearly every single year end list.
