I'm gonna take the WTT2 tweet as more of a signal that Jay and Ye are finally making amends instead of an actual album confirmation. Like Cruel Winter, I'll believe that album exists when I hear it. Holy shit, would absolutely love a Vic/Kanye project
Vic is probably the onnnne Chicago rapper that has never clicked for me. It is strange though that Chicago rappers always hit home. It’s like in your dna. I can feel the city the moment I hear them. Being from the area....they just speak your language. I’d love any Chicago project Ye could whip together. An all Chicago project. Drool.
“I Love It” is such a stupid song... but I’ve had it in my head a ton since I first listened to it. It’s performing well on streaming so far... would be hilarious if this ends up Kanye’s biggest hit of the past few years, and honestly I could see it happening.
I mean I’m not sure that’s a new thing, it’s just that now it’s called a meme, but like so was Can’t Touch This
It's not really surprising, it was the perfect formula. Young up-and-comer that I assume has a pretty big fanbase built up (I haven't actually listened to Lil Pump but I've heard of him before so he must be getting somewhere), older veteran that has RULED and influenced the scene for a decade+, simple ass catchy chorus and lyrics that stand out for how raunchy and silly they are, music video that is ridiculous, hilarious, and can be EASILY gif'd for reaction images and so on. And also super short so it can be played in spurts.
